Scatters
Go on navigational rallies (scatters) through the lanes
Rallying
KDMC participates in various types of rallying, whether on public roads, private land, or in forested areas.
Autosolo
These tests are all forward and non-stop, without requiring any spin or handbrake turns, and may be at one or more sites.

About KDMC
Hey there! Welcome to the Knutsford & District Motor Club (KDMC), a friendly community that has been revving up since 1958! We’re based at the Weaver's Whistle on Wells Avenue, Northwich CW9 7XR, and we’re thrilled to have over 100 members who come together from around a 35-mile radius of Knutsford, with some even joining us from much further away!
We’re proud to host three exciting flagship events: the Tour of Cheshire, a charming historic daylight regularity road rally; the Plains Rally, where we tackle the thrilling gravel forests of Wales; and the Knutsford Targa, a fantastic and budget-friendly introduction to rallying for those with lower-powered cars. But that’s not all! We also organize a variety of fun competitive events like autotests, navigational scatter events, and production car trials (PCT) that everyone can enjoy.
For our off-road enthusiasts, we have an Off-Road Championship featuring autotests, trials, sprints, and hillclimbs, as well as a Rally Championship that includes road, stage, multi-use venue, and historic rallies. Our members are also passionate about marshalling at major rallies, helping to make these events a success. We even have special championships for marshals, all-rounders, and juniors, ensuring that everyone has a chance to shine. And don’t forget our popular Scatter Championship and Grass Autotest Championship!
But it’s not just about the competition! Our dedicated Committee works hard to create a lively social atmosphere with a variety of events. Join us for our monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month at the Weaver's Whistle, where we enjoy engaging talks, fun quizzes, treasure hunts, model car racing, and tabletop rallies. The highlight of our social calendar is the annual awards dinner, where we celebrate our champions and hand out trophies.
We also love giving back to the community, supporting charities like the Midlands, North West, and Welsh Air Ambulances through our activities. Our club is home to some of the best national competitors in stage, road, and historic rallying, as well as production car trials and autotests. We strive to create events that cater to both seasoned pros and newcomers alike, with a special focus on welcoming new and young members with free subscriptions and their own championships and awards. KDMC has a proud history of success in the Association of North Western Car Clubs, often finishing as winners or runners-up over the past decade.
